Tips to Keep Your Pets Safe in Cold Weather
With Winter in full effect, cold weather can not only harm humans but their cute furry friends as well. In order to keep them safe, we’ve listed a few tips to help keep pets safe in cold temperatures.
Limit Time Outdoors
If it is too cold for you, it’s too cold for your pet to keep them inside as much as possible. If left outdoors for a long period of time pets can freeze and injured.
Bundle Up
You shouldn’t be the only one armed for the tundra. Keep them warm during the winter by dressing them in sweaters or coats. It is important to shield them from the cold especially if they have low-level winter tolerance.
Get Rid of Excess Snow
After walks or playtime outside be sure to always wipe off any snow, ice or salt off our your pet’s body. You should always check your pet’s feet and stomach to ensure there are no chemicals, ice on them and cracked paws.
